Who are we?

I am currently running this business alone out of my home in Bloomington, IL. I got into 3D printing a few years ago and have loved it ever since. I used to do 3D modeling in the past, and now my day job has taken me in a different direction and I no longer work on projects like that, and so my skills have atrophied. Due to this the time it would take me to design custom models would be more than I could recover from selling them. This is why I consider myself to be a curator, I find modelers who I feel match our brand identity which is exceptionally detailed and leaning more towards realism than cartoonish. I partner with those modelers to bring you all the highest quality products on the market.

Phylos Studios

I have a personal friend who has been painting miniatures his entire life and with so much experience I had to ask if he would paint some for me. After some discussion we came to a working agreement for him to be my model painter and get a cut of all painted sales, as well as some credit kickback. His name is Mitch Zook and he has a YouTube channel you can check out!

After a while of working together on painting models I decided to open a new branch of the Phylos brand for him to manage himself, this is how Phylos Studios was created. They are the painting and modeling branch of our business. Please feel free to check out the Phylos Studios page and socials!

Models We Sell

Since I do not make my models I purchase from designers who produce high-quality work. I have the commercial licenses to sell from a number of modelers listed below, and I’m always on the lookout for talented modelers to add to the roster.

Note: We do not sell the STL files for any of our models, so please don’t ask.
